Sales Merchandiser
Position Summary: From sales to delivery, the Merchandiser is the final stop in getting beverages into our customer’s hands. After the driver delivers the product to the store, the Merchandiser stocks, rotates, and merchandises our product so it is ready to sell. Merchandiser will maintain store standards by creating and arranging floor displays, resetting coolers, and rearranging shelves.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Aid sales reps in stocking, handling beverage cases, and re-working products
- Fill cold boxes and shelves with appropriate merchandise, and rotate product on an ongoing basis.
- Place price and descriptive signs on backdrop, fixtures, merchandise, on floor based on planograms
- Build and maintain in-store displays and marketing materials using schematics or written instructions while also maintaining both customer and company standards
- Provide customer service as required by customer and consumer demand
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks to move cases from storeroom to sales floor
- Consult with store managers, buyers and/or sales representative to determine appropriate placement of displays or product
- Submit daily activity report and merchandising reports; report competitive activity and pricing as it occurs to immediate supervisor
Requirements:
- Preferably 1+ merchandising experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Walk, stand, climb ladders, balance, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl daily
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous grocery or retail experience
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers
