Facility Maintenance Technician

Perform necessary operation moves, maintenance and minor repairs. Provides outstanding customer service to our employees and respond to trouble calls or requests for assistance in a professional, courteous expedient manner.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work through Help Desk and email requests: move and repair furniture, move and hang whiteboards, TV's, pictures, Painting and drywall repair, ballast and bulb replacement.
  • Record maintenance and repair information in accordance with guidelines established by management direction or policy/procedure.
  • Performs Production, Stockroom, Shipping, and Customer Support moves. Bench's, racking, minor electrical, ESD, air and gas line.
  • Perform root cause analysis and bring solutions for the maintenance issues of the building.
  • Performs all minor repairs to plumbing and communicate with contractors as needed.
  • Hook up ESD (electro static discharge) on the production floor and customer support.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with employees, responding to requests and issues in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Act as a back-up for the janitorial staff and facilities for personal leave or vacations.
  • Ability to research products and enter purchase orders for furniture and machinery as needed.
  • Follows SOPs as planned to ensure daily, weekly, monthly audits are completed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years’ experience in commercial or institutional buildings with maintenance.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Be familiar with OSHA Safety regulations as they relate to this facility and to his/her position.
  • Knowledge with using basic Microsoft applications (Word/Outlook/Excel) skills.
  • Proficient with internet navigation (Google, Internet Explorer, Firefox).
  • Flexible mindset and approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to prioritize workload with little supervision.

Skills:

  • Skilled with basic hand and power tools.
  • Strong customer-service orientation in responding to employee requests. Display follow-through in carrying out directions from management. Demonstrate teamwork skills in relations with co-workers.
  • Forklift Certified

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 LB.
